It was a perfect day for a hike (the postponement went to our advantage!). The Sun was out from its hiding and a great number of turnouts guaranteed for great company with old and new YKers!
The day started off at our meeting point, introductions were made and we kicked off the trail with the view of a peculiar shaded Pink house on top of the coastline. The scenic George Bass Coastal Trail was a breathtaking total of 14km hike (literally got me out of breath!).
Far from the city, the trail was so quiet, you could clearly hear your own breathing. We made various stops to take pictures and a few moments to enjoy the views.

We may or may not have nearly gotten on the wrong path during half point, but luckily a couple was able to redirect us on the drier path! At this point, I think we were all a little ravenous and ready for some food! 2km to go!

Some of us had started the walk a little earlier and some later, but we all made it to the restaurant to enjoy some well-deserved pub meals and few cold ones to get us all going again. With plenty of chit chats and food to go around, Ocean View Hotel was a hit!
After a filling lunch, it was time to head back and enjoy the view some more. This time around we did a stop at the beach. A few of us decided to go bare feet to brave the cold sea with our toes. There was a reason no one was out for a swim! It was freezing! More laughter and smiles as we made our way back. Thankful for those staying back to make sure no one was left behind.
We finished the trail in great spirits and little tired but very grateful to have spent a great day out.
Truly worthy trip, great views, but made all the better by the amazing company!
